Alf celebrated his 100th birthday in January 2019 and was delighted to receive his telegram from the Queen. Alf was part of Burn Road Harriers Running Club for 60 years and held the position of President for several years. Alf was a good friend and representative of the Association and served as a highly qualified Timekeeper at DABGC and NABGC Athletic and Cross Country events over many years.
