Alyson Dixon (formally with Sunderland Harriers) finished 4th in the Elite Women’s race at the 2015 Great North Run.
Alyson has developed as an athlete over the years representing the Durham Association at both Cross – Country and Athletics, being part of a highly successful Durham team which produced a range of National individual and team champions.
Since becoming an adult she has continued to excel in distance running and has represented Great Britain in a range of International competitions.
She has always held the Boys Clubs close to her heart and is a great inspiration to all young people to always give 100% and who knows what will happen. She gave that 100% and is now training hard and looking forward to qualifying for the Olympic Games in Rio in 2016.
